Overview

Admin Tools & Roles define how PlayerUp works at scale. Instead of every team operating in isolation, organizations can set up a consistent structure: who is an organization admin, who leads each team, who can evaluate players, who can edit plans, and who can just view.

PlayerUp is not a registration, league, or payment system — tools like TeamSnap, GameChanger, PlayMetrics, and Spond remain responsible for that layer.

Admin tools in PlayerUp focus on the coaching and development layer: controlling access to evaluations, goals, messages, and plans across your program.

Who it’s for:

• Club directors and technical directors
• Age-group leads or head coaches responsible for multiple teams
• Program admins standardizing how development is tracked and communicated

How it works

1. Organization-level roles
   At the top level, admins can:
   • Create and manage organizations
   • Add or remove teams
   • Assign organization-level admins and control who can manage settings
   • View high-level player development data across teams
2. Team-level roles
   Within each team, admins can assign roles such as:
   • Head Coach / Team Admin – full control over evaluations, plans, and communication
   • Assistant Coach – can evaluate, add notes, and contribute to session plans
   • Read-only Staff / Specialist – can view data without editing (e.g., technical director, scout)
3. Permissions and visibility
   Roles determine who can:
   • Create and edit Evaluations & Feedback
   • Create or modify Session Plans
   • Send Messages & Communication to players or the team
   • Manage Goals & Development Plans
   • Add, edit, or archive players on a team
4. Organization-wide configuration
   Admins can set defaults that apply across teams, such as:
   • Standard evaluation pillars and scales
   • Goal templates or development frameworks
   • Which roles can see or edit specific data types
5. Audit through player-centric views
   Because PlayerUp is built around player development, organization admins can see:
   • Which players are being regularly evaluated
   • Where gaps in feedback or planning exist
