Overview

Organizations in PlayerUp sit above individual teams. They define the umbrella your teams live under — such as a club, academy, school, or regional program. Within that structure, you control:

  • Which teams belong to the organization
  • Which coaches and staff have access to which teams
  • How development data is visible at the program level

PlayerUp is not a registration, league, or payment system. Tools like TeamSnap, GameChanger, PlayMetrics, and Spond handle that admin layer. Organizations & Access in PlayerUp is focused on the coaching and player development layer: how feedback, goals, plans, and analytics roll up across teams.

Who it’s for:

  • Clubs and academies with multiple teams or age groups
  • Technical directors and program leads overseeing development standards
  • Organizations that want consistent coaching workflows across all teams

How It Works

  1. Create an organization
A director or admin sets up an organization in PlayerUp and starts adding teams under it (or connects existing teams).
  2. Attach teams to the organization
    Teams can be:
    • Created inside the organization from scratch
    • Linked to the organization if they already exist in PlayerUp
    • Connected to external scheduling tools via Scheduling Integrations
  3. Assign organization admins and staff
    Admins control:
    • Which coaches and staff can access which teams
    • Who can manage settings, pillars, and templates
    • Who can see org-level analytics
  4. Control access across teams
A single coach can be attached to:
    • One team (e.g., U13 Boys)
    • Multiple teams (e.g., U13, U15, and U17)
    • Or at the org level as a director with read access across the program
  5. View development at the organization level
    Organization leaders can see:
    • Which teams are actively using evaluations, goals, and plans
    • Player development patterns across age groups or squads
    • Gaps in feedback or planning that need attention

Key Benefits

  • One structure for your whole program
All teams live under the same organizational umbrella, instead of being scattered and isolated.
  • Clear, controlled access
Directors, head coaches, assistants, and specialists all get the right level of visibility — nothing more, nothing less.
  • Consistent development standards
Organizations can standardize evaluation pillars, goal frameworks, and planning approaches across all teams.
  • Better oversight without micromanaging
Leaders see which teams are giving regular feedback, using goals, and planning sessions — and where support is needed.
  • Plays nicely with your admin stack
Registration, payments, and scheduling tools stay as they are. PlayerUp adds a clean, development-focused layer across the organization.
