PlayerUp uses simple, transparent, team-based pricing. Subscriptions are designed to be easy for coaches and organizations to manage, with billing handled directly through the App Store and Google Play.
Overview
Subscription & Billing in PlayerUp is focused on access to the PlayerUp platform itself — evaluations, goals, session plans, messaging, and all coaching tools.
It does not replace your club or league payment systems. Tools like TeamSnap, GameChanger, PlayMetrics, and Spond remain responsible for registration fees, league dues, and other payments. PlayerUp’s billing is only for using PlayerUp as your coaching and player development platform.
PlayerUp typically charges per team, keeping pricing predictable and aligned with how coaches actually work.
Who it’s for:
- Coaches paying for PlayerUp on behalf of a single team
- Clubs or academies covering subscriptions for multiple teams
- Admins who need a clean separation between “club fees” and “PlayerUp access”
How It works
- Choose a plan
From inside the app, you select a subscription tier (usually per team). Each active team requires its own subscription for full access. - Pay through App Store or Google Play
Billing is managed by:- Apple App Store on iOS
- Google Play Store on Android
- Your payment details are handled by Apple/Google
- Renewals and cancellations follow the store’s standard process
- Subscription per team
In most setups:- One subscription = one active team with full access
- You can add or remove teams as your needs change
- Trials and renewals
New users may start with a trial (where available), then transition to a paid subscription through the store. Renewals are automatic unless you cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings. - Managing access
Once a team is subscribed:- All players on that team can use PlayerUp for free
- Multiple coaches on that team share access under the same team subscription
